Modesty on the Runway: Christian Dior Fall 2012

The House of Dior is under the direction of designer Bill Gaytten and ever since he replaced John Galliono, I feel the collections represent a more classic Dior.  The emphasis on the waist paying homage to the New Look and the classic houndstooth pattern made abstract to give a more modern appeal.  Gaytten called this season's collection "soft modernity."  I definitely get a ballet/feminine vibe, which you all know I love!  Below are detail pics of the shoes.  I love that the front of the shoe looks like a ballet slipper, but then transforms into a lovely heel.

Dior is my favorite when it comes to the big mama fashion houses!  Always classy and always fabulous.  XOXO, Allie

Forever 21 is one of my favorite stores!  You can get a ton of cool stuff for an amazing price and they always have a ton of clothes on sale.  These are just some of the clothes I saw that I really liked. I'm going to have to make a part two post.  Forever 21 is what the fashion world calls "fast fashion" which means a place that sells clothes that are trendy and/or runway inspired without the ridiculous prices.  So basically you get to look fashion forward without leaving your wallet completely empty.  Hope you like them!  XOXO, Allie

Modesty on the Runway: Suno Fall 2012

This season the designers of Suno wanted to have a little more childlike fun to their collection.  They did so by adding fun little doodles in some of their dresses and skirts.  Suno is known for funky and colorful parterns.  XOXO, Allie.

Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte

I recently did a post on Rodarte's Fall 2012 collection so I thought I would do a collection about the designers since they are my favorite.  Their names are Laura & Kate Mulleavy and they are sister designers from LA.  Their designing and inspirations are genius!  They are truly unique and different, which is hard to come by these days!

I recently did a post on Rodarte's Fall 2012 collection so I thought I would do a collection about the designers since they are my favorite.  Their names are Laura & Kate Mulleavy and they are sister designers from LA.  They show the world the magical, whimsical world they live in every season.  Their designing and inspirations are genius!  They are truly unique and different, which is hard to come by these days!  These some of my favorite looks from some of the collections.
